Discography...
Tangled Up:
Welcome to the latest installment in the Mithril discography! The four of us played our first concert together in January of 2003 and it has been an extremely exciting and
musically rewarding musical quest ever since. As the band has explored a variety of material ranging from Irish traditional repertoire to covers of some of our favorite rock
tunes, we have figured out how to "Mithrilize" it all to take our listeners on a musical adventure filled with equal parts energy, expression and fun!
The selections on this CD include some that we've played from the band's beginnings (Lord of the Rings Set and Ashokan Farewell, a very frequent request by our fans) which have aged well like fine wines over time. However, some of our newest sets (The Rocking Chairs and Chicken Fingers in the Chapel) give a different insight into our collective tangled and twisted creative process. As we have been performing frequently with orchestras over the past few years, we also wanted to provide our listeners a taste of that with string arrangements on Captain O'Kane, Ashokan Farewell and the American Set. We want to offer our sincere thanks to all of our Mithril friends and family for all of your fantastic support since the very beginnings of our journey. Enjoy!!!!

The Return Home:
So many great things have happened to us since our last CD!
We have been busy over the last two years playing throughout the United States both in chamber style concerts and with symphony orchestras.
Basically, we've been having a blast performing here and yonder and really enjoyed the chance to return home to work on this project.
We're extremely proud of this CD, because it was a true collaboration between the four of us.
Everybody came up with great ideas which contributed to a whole that we feel reflects us at our musical best.
We hope you enjoy...

Live In Concert:
In the summer of 2004, while working on our Winter's Day CD, we came up with the
idea to use previously recorded concerts to make an official live 'bootleg" CD. We
had enough material to use, but just to be certain, we scheduled a concert for Sept. 21.
Hurricane Ivan hit the coast on Sept. 16. Could we have a concert five days later?
After much discussion, we went on as planned. And it was astounding.
The band and the audience were charged with electricity - even though much of the
Gulf Coast was still without! The concert was a celebration and it became the basis
for most of this CD. We hope you enjoy our first "official bootleg" CD.

Winter's Day:
Mithril's CD, Winter's Day, is a Celtic celebration of winter and the
holiday season. While many of the tunes on the CD are associated with Christmas, some
evoke other, older traditions that were present in the Celtic nations before the
coming of Christianity. The music on Winter's Day includes heartfelt slow airs,
high-energy jigs and reels, and a few exotic surprises. We bet you'll enjoy this
CD throughout the year.
